Billed like any Indian supplier
Rent is invoiced to the subsidiary every month in advance, with 18% GST. A GST-registered subsidiary claims that GST as input tax credit, and the rent is an operating expense in its own books rather than an asset to depreciate.
The refundable deposit is 15% of each device’s MRP, paid once and returned at the end. See how billing works for foreign companies for what the quote shows.
Why not send laptops from headquarters
Laptops sent from abroad go through import clearance in India, with customs duty and IGST paid before they are released. Then someone has to receive, store, enrol and ship them to each person, and bring them back when people leave.
Renting in India skips all of that. The Macs are bought new in India through the Apple Device Purchase Programme and arrive enrolled in your Apple Business Manager.
Matching the group standard
Send us the group’s standard configurations. Listed models are quoted at the published rate; configurations with more memory or storage are ordered built-to-order from Apple and take four to six weeks.
Macs supplied in India carry the US English keyboard. If your group standard is another layout, people can switch the input language in macOS; the key caps stay US English.
